2nd Annual Chastain Park Arts Festival This Weekend

The 2nd Annual Chastain Park Arts Festival is this weekend, November 6 and 7.  The festival will be held on Park Drive which runs the north perimeter of Chastain Park from Stella Drive to Dudley Lane.  Parking will be available in the newly refurbished RED Lot off of Powers Ferry Road.  The festival will be open on Saturday from 10am – 6pm and Sunday from 11am – 5pm.

Here are some quick tidbits:

*Friday Movie at Dusk: Grease will be showing on the lawn below the Chastain Park Playground just north of West Wieuca at approx. 7pm
*The hours are 10am – 6pm on Saturday and 11am – 5pm on Sunday
*Admission is Free!
**Correction: Dogs are allowed inside the festival
*There will be a Pet Parade on Saturday morning to open the festival.  All pet owners that want to participate can gather in the red lot at 10:00 and we will begin the parade at 10:30.
*There will be alcohol sales inside the festival and the revenues will benefit Big Trees Forest Preserve
*There will be food and merchandise sales inside the festival
*Parking will be available in the Red lot as well as the other Park parking lots

According to the website, www.ChastainParkArtsFestival.com, the festival will feature close to 100 fine painters, photographers, sculptors, leather and metal craft persons, glass blowers, jewelers and more!  The Festival will also offer visitors the opportunity to view artist demonstrations, enjoy live entertainment, participate in hands-on arts activities, and enjoy festival foods and beverages.
