2010 Chastain Horse Park Rodeo

On Tuesday Martha and I were driving the kids back from a trip to Disney World and were discussing plans that were on the books for the rest of October. It seems we have a lot going on the weekend of October 23-24 and I said, “and we have to go to the rodeo.” After explaining that the rodeo was coming to Chastain Park, her response was “Oh, that’s just what we need in our neighborhood, a rodeo.” I didn’t do a very good job explaining that it was a one day event, not a recurring event like the concerts… Anyway we both had a good laugh at that.
As I was telling her, the Chastain Horse Park will be hosting the 1st Rodeo in Buckhead Saturday, October 23rd. The event is from 4-6pm and the gates open at 3pm. Rodeo events include Steer Wrestling, Barrel Racing, Bull Riding, Team Roping, Rodeo Clown entertainment and much more.
All tickets sales will benefit the therapeutic riding programs at Chastain Horse Park for students with disabilities and our country’s injured military.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for children ages 5-11, and children 4 & under enter free.
